At the end of May, our founder and CEO, Selina Brown hosted a workshop at the Black Women’s Conference 2015 titled Radical Self Love.
Held at the UCL Institute of Education in London, women across the country attended the Black Women’s Conference 2015. Not only did the Radical Self Love explore the many obstacles that women of colour face in society today, but highlighted areas of life where women of colour are excelling.
A full spectrum of topics were up for discussion; how ideas of beauty often exclude women of colour, our roles as mothers and the head of the family and as well as the obstacles, the successes we have made in education and business.
There was love and positivity. There were tears, there was sharing and there was healing. Most of all Radical Self emphasised to all present just how important high self-esteem and confidence is in all aspects of life.
